AMANDA HEAD: A Very Incendiary Hollywood Minute

Amanda Head returns today with potentially incendiary social commentary (if common sense isn’t your thing) ignited by coverage of Vanderbilt University’s Sarah Fuller, who made history Saturday when she became the first woman to play in a college football game in a Power 5 Conference:

Amanda stresses that biology shouldn’t determine whether anyone is qualified for a position. But there are some things that men do better than women and women do better than men. Women play a far more important role in the proliferation of the human race, for starters.

In this case, Fuller’s game time contributions were insignificant (Vandy lost 41-0), yet the “everyone gets a trophy” syndrome that has turned society into a national joke ensured she was honored as one of the SEC’s players of the week. It’s not as bad as Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, but it’s not great either.
