Hope Hicks, a senior counselor to President Trump and long considered one of his most influential confidantes, has officially left the White House with days left in the president’s term, but not because of last week’s riot.
According to a report from Pamela Brown, Hicks feels “her influence has waned.”
Mediaite reports:
“We’re told that shortly after the election that she did try to push back against the efforts to overturn the election results, but she felt like her voice wasn’t being heard,” she added.
Hicks left the Trump White House in early 2018, but returned in early 2020.
During those two years, she worked as the chief communications officer at Fox Corporation, Fox News Channel’s parent company.
