Liberals the Biggest Losers as U-Haul Names most Popular States to Move to Where Does Your State Rank?

Joe Biden may have won the presidential election, but liberalism is getting slaughtered among Americans voting with their feet.

Low-tax, Right to Work, red state Tennessee and Texas appear to be America’s top destination for people moving to new states, according to statistics released by the trailer and van rental company U-Haul.

Each year the company ranks all 50 states by “net migration,” which it calculates by taking “the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a state versus leaving that state in a calendar year.,” the company announced in a press release. U-Haul rents over two million trucks, vans and trailers a year.

U-Haul’s rankings are as follows, with last year’s ranking in parenthesis.

“I’m seeing a lot of people from California move (to Tennessee) because they’re attracted to our lifestyle,” said Jeff Porter, U-Haul Company of Nashville president. “Tennessee has no income tax and is very business-friendly. There are plenty of jobs. People and companies are taking note. Places like Nashville, Murfreesboro and Clarksville are attracting tons of new residents. Nashville is ever-growing, and even the era of COVID-19 isn’t slowing that. We were seeing movement before the virus hit, but I think the situation has pushed a lot more people away from the West Coast to our state.”

The list appears to be an indictment of liberal economic policies, and an endorsement of conservatism.

15 of the top 20 are Right to Work states, where you cannot be fired or denied a job for refusing to join a union. Nine of the bottom ten are compulsory unionism states, where paying a union boss can legally be a condition of employment.

The five most popular states all have Republican governors, while four of the bottom five have Democrat governors.
