Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Unveils Bombshell Anti-Censorship Bill to Stop Big Tech from Targeting Conservatives

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis proposed a potentially groundbreaking new law on Tuesday, one that would levy massive fines against Big Tech for censoring conservative politicians.

DeSantis, in a news conference stated that Big Tech had now morphed into ‘Big Brother’ and was being used to manipulate what information citizens are allowed to see and access in a highly partisan manner.

As WFLA Florida reports:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed new laws Tuesday to combat Big Tech’s “censorship” of right-wing political candidates.

“What began as a group of upstart technology companies from the west coast, has since transformed into an industry of monopoly communications platforms that monitor, influence, and control the flow of information in our country and among our citizens,” DeSantis said from the Cabinet Meeting Room…

DeSantis said when 2.8 million Americans downloaded the social media app Parler, a self-described “free speech” platform, it was canceled by Amazon, Google, and Apple.

“What about the 88 million Americans who chose to ‘follow’ Donald Trump [on Twitter]? Sorry! Content moderators on Twitter pulled the plug,” the governor said.

He also revealed that as part of the new bill Big Tech companies would be fined 100 thousand dollars a day anytime they attempted to de-platform a candidate for political office during an election in Florida:

DeSantis went on to blast dishonest journalists and the mainstream media for its bias in covering the Hunter Biden story, saying “Don’t whiz on my leg and tell me it’s raining.’
